This 4 minute video has been around for a couple of months but is a must watch. Its probably the most useful real life definition of web 2.0.
A very thought provoking look about where the internet is heading! Have a look around the rest of the Novanate site to see how we are helping businesses harness the power of the web.

I first saw this in February on Tech Life which is produced by Dave Kaufman, his site is definately worth a look.

This video has proven a breakthrough in helping people to understand the scope of what web2.0 offers, but I think there needs to be a general shift in thinking. The question needs to be asked: can web 2.0 take on more of my communication needs. Do companies need a promotional document and a website? I mean who is doing business these days without a computer screen in front of them. Surely business has to be prepared to break the shackles and commit fully to new technology. It may be painful at first, but the early adopters will be the ultimate winners. Procrastinate and perish!

It strike me that people are still slow to see how web 2.0 can make big changes in their lives for very little effort. Perhaps you guys should offer some practical hints on how to get more from the web without being an IT guru. It is all still very confusing to people who grew up with different technology. They need to develop new habits and it is only when use of the web becomes habitual that older generations will start to see its true potential. So come on Novanate start simplifying the web for all of us.

I think that really smart pweole will work out how to combine web 2.0 with real life to improve society. At the moment it seems to be all encompassing but not individual. I know this is ciontrary to popular opinion, but sites like YouTube and Facebook are just fashion accessories. They are not statements of individuality.
